Any Minnesota resident, 21 years old, may audition for a position in the Minnesota State Band.  We maintain a full symphonic concert band instrumentation and carry from 65 - 70 players.

Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in Saint Paul in the State Capitol area.

Uniform Blazers, shirts, and ties are provided band members.  Many members also wear their band membership pin on their blazer along with the pins awarded to them while on tour by foreign bands and their countries.
